Being a sponsor at this year’s AdMonsters Publisher Forum in New Orleans was a truly rewarding experience for us at Altitude Digital. Not only did we mingle with some of the smartest online publishers, but we also had the opportunity to volunteer and see a very different side of The Big Easy!
Although much has been done to rebuild New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, certain families and areas continue to struggle after nearly a decade. Luckily, organizations like The St. Bernard Project are still helping families rebuild their homes and lives.
Along with a small group of the attendees from the forum, Altitude’s CMO Joe Grover and VP of Publisher Development Ryan Gombeski volunteered with the St. Bernard Project to help rebuild a home for a widow named Vera who lives in the New Orleans Parish. Vera is raising her grandson and has struggled to get her home rebuilt since the Hurricane in 2005. On Tuesday, volunteers rolled up their sleeves and helped sheetrock and patch walls in an effort to complete the home by April of this year!
