Altitude Digital’s Brad Downes joined fellow Colorado CFOs Dan Grote of ReadyTalk, Karyn Miller of Craftsy and David Roshak of Optiv today Tuesday at the Denver Business Journal’s annual CFO Forum at the Hyatt Regency Convention Center. The event explored the quickly-evolving role of a CFO, and how the position requires much more than sitting behind a desk and crunching numbers.
While balancing the books is still a crucial aspect of the job, a successful CFO—especially in high-growth companies—must also help define and cultivate company culture. And since they are highly involved in the recruiting and hiring process, they must ensure that each employee fits within this vision and provides value. As Brad noted, “We have 80 employees, and every single person counts.”
